The double cycloning circuit consists of pumping mud twice through cyclons. In MODEL&CO double cycloning Desanders, separation is made in 3 phases. In the first phase, mud is pumped to a primary screen where solids larger than 2 mm are directly removed by vibration. In the secondary phase, the mud from primary phase is pumped through the primary cyclon where the separation of sand of grain size smaller than 2 mm is done. Sand out of cyclon is poured in a dewatering screen, where the excess of humidity is removed ending up in a dry sand product. In a third phase, the mudo out from primary cycloning is pumped to secondary cyclons in order to separate fine grain sand and silt.
